2023 Masters: Best Round 4 Bets, Picks & Predictions

Jason Day 2023 the Memorial Tournament First-Round Leader Best Bets & Picks

The 2023 Masters’ third round was postponed until Sunday morning due to the weather, which continued to make everyone’s weekend miserable that is still left in the field.  The players at the top of the leaderboard haven’t yet reached the turn, and nobody has completed 48 holes yet.

During the final day of this year’s competition, let’s take a closer look at who I like to be in the mix.

2023 Masters Round 4 Picks & Predictions

Jason Day Top-10 finish (+110)

Day has more time to catch up than the rest of the field because he is only one hole behind the two favorites. In terms of strokes gained around the green, which is a crucial indicator of success at Augusta, Day is now ranked seventh among the field still in play. Day has struggled so far in the third round, lying at 1-over after seven holes, but he will have a chance to rebound on Sunday under considerably better conditions.

The resurgence of Day, who is now ranked 19th in the FedExCup standings and is coming into this week in excellent form after placing inside the Top 20 in each of his last six stroke-play competitions, has been one of the better narratives of this golf season thus far.

His fifth-place finish at the WM Phoenix Open was one of four of those finishes that were also in the Top 10. His excellent iron play, which is crucial at Augusta as well, is the main reason he has been successful recently and is presently T8 this week.

Day now holds the 10th-best SG: tee-to-green ranking on the TOUR this season, and he is on his way to finishing in the Top 10 for the seventh time in his 12 career at Augusta National.

Scottie Scheffler Top-10 finish (+120)

After shooting 68-67 with a 2-under third round through 12 holes, defending champion and co-favorite Scottie Scheffler, who won at 10-under 278, is tied for 14th position at 3-under. Through 12 holes on a rainy and windy third round, Scheffler is -2, and I fully expect him to make a run on Sunday morning when things open back up.

If Scheffler can get things going with the putter to round out Round three, I think he can go super low come the fourth round, whenever that might be. With just one round in the 70s over his last six at Augusta, look for Scottie to be in the top 10 mix come the fourth and final round.
