Only six weeks remain between now and the end of the 2022 La Liga regular season as teams jockey for positioning to bring home Spain’s most coveted title. At the top, Real Madrid has all but sealed it a clear 12 points ahead of #2 Barcelona.
However, things are much more in flux in the middle and bottom. Let’s look at two teams I’m keyed in on for this week.

Saturday
Valencia vs. Osasuna, 10:15 AM, EST
Two teams separated by just 1 point on the table will go at it in Valencia on Saturday, as Osasuna comes to town with 41 points as both sit in the dead middle of the table. For Valencia, you have to go all the way back to February 20th to find their last defeat, a 4-1 loss at the hands of powerhouse Barcelona.
Since then, Valencia has racked up a goal differential of +5, turning into one of the more complete teams, not at the top of the La Liga table.
For Osasuna, winners of three of their past four, a closer look show snot all wins are made the same. Two of those wins came against La Liga bottom-dwellers Levante and Alves, who currently sit last and second-to-last on the table with a combined goal differential of -54. Osasuna’s goal differential of -9 is also the highest of teams not in the bottom five of the league.
Led by Goncalo Guedes and his 14 goals, Valencia is a threat every week when not playing one of the top teams. I like them to get it done here.
