New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Leg #1: Phillies Moneyline (-194)

This leg starts with the pitching matchup, where the Phillies hold a significant advantage behind Cristopher Sanchez. We know how great Sanchez has been all season, but he’s coming off his worst start in almost two months in a loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Today, Sanchez gets a better matchup versus the Mets, a team he’s dominated his entire career.

Sanchez has developed into one of the more reliable left-handers in the National League, generating a high groundball rate and limiting hard contact. The Mets have struggled against dominant lefties all season long, ranking in the bottom half of the league in runs scored, wOBA and wRC+ when facing a left-hander

Leg #2: Cristopher Sanchez 8+ Strikeouts (+116)

This is the highest-risk leg of the parlay, but there is a clear path to it cashing. Cristopher Sanchez’s change-up has become a legitimate put-away pitch, especially against right-handed hitters, and it has helped elevate his strikeout ceiling considerably.

The Mets have several hitters who are vulnerable to swing-and-miss pitchers when behind in the count, making strikeouts available if Sanchez locates the strike zone early. If he works six or more innings, he should face roughly 24-27 batters, giving him enough volume to reach eight punchouts.

Leg #3: Kyle Schwarber 2+ Hits + Runs + RBIs (-131)

This prop doesn’t require Kyle Schwarber to record multiple hits, which makes it more attainable than many bettors realize. A home run would cash the entire leg by itself.

Schwarber has the most at-bats against Mets starter Freddy Peralta (15) and has had some success, batting .200 (3-for-15) with two dingers.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Colorado Rockies

Leg #1: Pirates -1.5 First Five Innings (+105)

This leg is entirely built around the expectation that Paul Skenes dominates from the opening pitch. While Skenes hasn’t been quite as dominant or consistent as we’ve become accustomed to in previous seasons, Pittsburgh still enters this matchup with a massive advantage on the mound.

Meanwhile, the Rockies send Tomoyuki Sugano to the hill. On the surface, Sugano’s 7-4 record and 4.54 ERA look respectable, but the underlying metrics tell a completely different story. His expected ERA is an alarming 7.14, suggesting he has benefited from considerable good fortune and is a strong regression candidate moving forward.

That’s exactly what we’re looking to exploit with this parlay. If Pittsburgh’s offense can capitalize on Sugano’s underlying struggles while Skenes controls the game on the other side, the Pirates should have an excellent opportunity to build a multi-run lead through the first five innings.

Leg #2: Paul Skenes 7+ Strikeouts (-130)

This is the anchor leg of the parlay and arguably the strongest on the board. Skenes possesses one of the highest strikeout rates in baseball thanks to a fastball that routinely reaches the upper 90s and secondary pitches that generate whiffs at an elite rate.

In three career starts against Colorado, he has topped this number in every single one of them. Not to mention that Colorado has the highest strikeout rate against righties.

Leg #3: Brandon Lowe 1+ RBI (-103)

Tomoyuki Sugano relies heavily on his fastball and sinker - a pitch Brandon Lowe has been absolutely smashing.

Lowe owns a ridiculous .811 slugging rate, .491 ISO and .510 wOBA against those pitches, all of which rank among the best power-production profiles on the board. Most impressive is his 35.1% barrel rate. That means more than one-third of his batted balls are being hit with the ideal combination of exit velocity and launch angle to produce extra-base hits and home runs.

While the 25% strikeout rate introduces some volatility, Lowe doesn’t need multiple hits to cash this prop - just one productive plate appearance with runners on base. Given his current power surge and ability to drive the ball with authority, Lowe is one swing away from cashing this leg at any point in the game.

And to add the cherry on top, Lowe is 2-for-3 against Sugano with a dinger and four RBI.

Parlay Odds: +380
