Best Bets To Win The League

Odds: Bayern Munich -400 at PointsBet

Bayern Munich has set the tone for each and every Bundesliga season over the past decade. The Bavarians were challenged by Borussia Dortmund a year ago – a team they trailed by nine points in the standings at one point. However, Bayern rallied to win the league for an eighth straight year. Following an impressive offseason in which they brought in several key young pieces, it will be tough to knock off the champions again this season.

Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry have replaced the likes of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben as the new star power driving this squad. Meanwhile, Bayern also added the talented French tandem of Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard to help supplement the skill level throughout its lineup.

As impressive as the offseason haul has been, Bayern still has the potential to add to its firepower with plenty of financial support from ownership. Manager Nico Kovac has an absolutely stacked roster to work with again this season.

Best Value Pick To Win The League

Odds: RP Leipzig +1400 at PointsBet

With Bayern locked in as such an impressive favorite, it’s hard to find a decent alternative to potentially challenge for a Bundesliga title. Borussia Dortmund (+425) is the most likely team to challenge Bayern’s dominance. If you’re looking for a longer shot, perhaps it’s RP Leipzig. An exciting young team with an aggressive style and a ton of skill throughout its lineup, Leipzig is a legitimate sleeper pick to at least make it interesting at the top of the table. The smart money is on Bayern to win the title but if you really want to take a flier on a value option, bet RP Leipzig.

Best Bet To Win The Goal Scoring Title

Odds: Lewandowski -112 at PointsBet

Bayern Munich’s dominance atop the table and Robert Lewandowski dominating the scoring race go hand in hand. A year ago, Lewandowski scored 22 goals in 33 matches – four more than Borussia Dortmund’s Paco Alcacer for the scoring title. Now, Lewandowski returns as the obvious favorite to win the Bundesliga scoring title again.

Alcacer, Timo Werner of RB Leipzig and even Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund are all available at decent odds to lead the league in scoring. However, Lewandowski should still be considered the obvious favorite to repeat as the Bundesliga scoring champion this season.

The First Coach To Be Fired

While Steffen Baumgart of SC Paderborn and Urs Fischer of Union Berlin stands out as the sports betting favorites to be the first manager sacked, there is another option on the board that appears a little more appealing. Borussia Monchengladbach is expected to compete near the top of the table again this season. If they struggle, it could end up costing Marco Rose his job. One year after only barely missing out on a UEFA Champions League football, Rose takes over with great expectations. Will he thrive with the opportunity? Or will the burden of expectations ultimately weigh him down? If Borussia Monchengladbach struggles early, it could have a crippling effect on Rose’s ability to rally the troops. Baumgart and Fisher are obvious options. However, the smart money might very well be on Rose to be the first manager sacked.
