Seth Curry OVER 11.5 POINTS (-125 via DraftKings)
Everybody is targeting the superstars and I understand that, but they can’t do it alone. Role players should contribute and Seth Curry is one that I trust. I believe that with KD and Kyrie he will get a lot of open looks, and he is a great shooter, so 11.5 is too good to pass on. He is averaging 15ppg on the season and this line is a huge drop. Yes, he got in a bit of a slump, but still, 14.3ppg in his last 10 games and 13.2 in the last five is well over his line. He had 12 against the Cavs, which isn’t spectacular, but will do the job. Also, I believe Cleveland will keep it a lot closer than what the spread is suggesting, so he should see increased minutes — at least 32, maybe up to 35.
Reggie Jackson OVER 17.5 POINTS (-110 via DraftKings)
Another similar one, except right now Reggie should be the Clippers’ second option. He didn’t finish the season very well, but that is not going to stop me. They had a lot of meaningless games, but on the other hand, Jackson had a very good postseason last year. Also, the Timberwolves aren’t very good defensively — 24th in points allowed, 25th in 3PT allowed, and dead last in free throws allowed. Reggie hit in this matchup three of four times this season with 29, 20, and 21 points in those three games. Also, I like the Clippers to pull off what would be an upset for the bookies, and if they do, Reggie Jackson will be a big part of it.
