LeBron James OVER 31.5 POINTS -105
As I am writing this, it sounds crazy to expect a guy at 37 years old to score 32+ again, but who else can rely on in Purple and Gold. They are so many reasons that I believe in this play. First, LeBron is coming from almost one week off after resting two nights ago against Philly. This is a must-win for the Lakers. They are fighting for seeding against the Pelicans and are in danger of missing even the play-in games. LeBron is averaging 35 ppg in his L10 and had 32 vs. Pelicans in limited minutes in the blowout loss. LeBron is the only hope for the Lakers and is averaging 42.6 ppg in their L5 wins. If you don’t mind the juice, go for 30+, but I’m rolling with this line and will maybe even sprinkle on 40+.
Chris Paul OVER 24.5 POINTS & ASSISTS -115
Point God is back and feels like he has never been away. 25.7 P+A for the season, 28.4 in L10, and this line just is too low for a game like this. I think Philly will keep it very close, and these are the games CP3 loves to shine in. Look for him to try and keep everyone involved with seven or eight assists at halftime, and he will look more to score in the 4th as he, Book, and the Suns are the best in the clutch. CP3 had 16 points and 12 assists in their only meeting this year.
Jordan Poole OVER 23.5 POINTS -112
Riding with the hot hand. Poole has scored 20+ in 13 straight games, averaging 26 in L10 and 27.4 in L5. Of course, the main reason for his scoring is the absence of Steph Curry. Poole is the Warriors main threat without Curry, averaging 31ppg in wins without him. Yes, there is a blowout potential, but I can see him cover in 3 quarters. The Wizards are 23rd in 3PT% in 3PTM allowed, and that is Poole’s main weapon, so I hope he will take advantage of it.
