Jonathan Huberdeau Anytime Scorer (+180)
The Atlantic Division’s first-place Florida Panthers host the Central Division’s seventh-place Chicago Blackhawks. This is the second meeting between these two teams this season as the Panthers scored five times in their first matchup, and we could see another large scoring outburst from one of the league’s best offensive teams once again.
Florida’s leading point scorer, Jonathan Huberdeau, is coming off of a two-goal performance against Montreal. Huberdeau registered seven shots in that matchup, and if he fires the puck that often against Chicago then there is a good chance at least one finds the back of the net.
By trading Marc-Andre Fleury at the deadline, the Blackhawks have officially mailed It in for the season and are now stuck with Kevin Lankinen in net. Lankinen has allowed four or more goals in eight of his last 1o starts as his save percentage this season now sits at a dreadful 0.886.
Chicago’s special teams are also fade-worthy as they currently rank 23rd in the league in penalty kill percentage, while Huberdeau serves as one of the triggermen on Florida’s lethal first power play unit.
Nazem Kadri Anytime Scorer (+155)
The Central Division’s first-place Colorado Avalanche host the Pacific Division’s sixth-place San Jose Sharks. This is the third meeting between these two teams this season as the Avalanche are averaging 5.5 goals scored per game across the first two matchups.
Kadri scored in both of those games against San Jose and has registered four goals over his last six games. With Nathan MacKinnon out of the lineup, Kadri jumps up to the first line and centers the first power play unit.
With Kadri’s increase in ice time, he has gotten more opportunities to score as he registered six shots on net against Calgary without MacKinnon in the lineup. Kappo Kahkonen is the confirmed starting goaltender for San Jose and has allowed four or more goals in five of his last six starts.
Martin Necas Anytime Scorer (+250)
The Metropolitan Division’s first-place Carolina Hurricanes host the Atlantic Division’s eighth-place Montreal Canadiens. This is the third meeting between these two teams this season as the Hurricanes are averaging four goals scored per game across the first two matchups.
Necas has really found his game recently as he has scored four goals over his last five games. He will have a good opportunity to keep It going against a Montreal team that ranks 31st in the league in goals allowed per game.
Necas plays on the second line and second power play unit, which should be active against a Montreal team that ranks 28th in both penalty minutes and penalty kill percentage. Jake Allen is the projected starting goaltender for Montreal and is coming off of a loss to Florida in which he allowed six goals.
Best of luck!
