For starters, Phoenix has scored first in all four of their games so far this season. In those four games, Alyssa Thomas scored first in one, with DeWanna Bonner drawing first blood in another. However, in the other two, Mercury's first scores came from Jovana Nogic.
The rookie out of Providence is averaging 16.0 points per game so she is clearly a focal point of the offense, especially for a rookie on an established contender. That trust can be a huge factor in this prop. She has also only started three of the four games and has still scored first twice.
