The Oakland Athletics were the last team to win their first game yesterday, and now look for two wins in a row when facing the Houston Astros in their home opener tonight.

Betting Impact:

The Astros are -157 moneyline favorites against the A's, per BettingPros consensus odds. Houston swept Oakland in four straight road games to begin the season. A's starter Cole Irvin allowed seven hits and four runs in 4 ⅓ innings against Houston in his first start. Houston's Cristian Javier lasted just 3 ⅔ innings in his first start against Oakland, but only allowed three hits and two runs. Javier looks to continue his home dominance as he was 3-0 with a 2.17 ERA in six home games (five starts) last year.
