The Houston Astros have lost each of their previous four World Series home games, and look to end that winless streak in Game 1 of the World Series against the Atlanta Braves.

Betting Impact:

The Astros are -130 moneyline home favorites, per BettingPros consensus odds. The Astros come in with a ton of momentum both offensively and defensively, as in their Games 5 and 6 wins, Yordan Alvarez out-hit the Red Sox 7-5 by himself. Atlanta's pitching staff will have their hands full with Houston's lineup, who led the American League in batting average and had the best strikeout rate all season. Former Houston all-star Charlie Morton faces many of his old teammates he won a World Series with. Morton has been a model of consistency, winning at least 14 games and pitching to an ERA of 3.62 or lower in each of the last four full seasons. He is opposed by Houston's Framber Valdez, who had one of the most historic outings as a visitor in Fenway Park postseason history in his previous start. The Braves are 14-3 in their last 17 games against teams with a winning record, while Houston is 6-1 in their last seven playoff games as a favorite.
