Despite receiving just 34% of the bets, the Kansas City Royals have received 82% of all betting action in advance of their series finale against the Chicago White Sox. (source)

Betting Impact:

Despite the White Sox coming into this game on a three-game winning streak, including taking the first two of this series, the public is all over the underdog Royals. Kansas City's starting pitcher is Jakob Junis, who is making his season debut after testing positive for the coronavirus in early July. Junis is 3-2 with a 5.10 ERA in seven career starts against Chicago. The White Sox are -120 moneyline favorites, according to BettingPros consensus odds. Chicago backers should be aware that shortstop Tim Anderson has been placed on the IL with a groin strain. Anderson was hitting .333 while leading the team in doubles and runs scored in the young season.
