Though they are playing at home and have a 3-1 lead, the Atlanta Braves are underdogs in tonight's potential World Series-clinching Game 5 against the Houston Astros.

Betting Impact:

The Astros are -115 moneyline road favorites, per BettingPros consensus odds. Atlanta is now 7-0 at home in this postseason, and they became just the fourth team ever to win seven consecutive games at home in a single playoffs. The Braves get another crack at Framber Valdez, who they tagged for five earned runs and eight hits in two innings of work in Game 2. However, we have seen Valdez's ability to bounce back on the road in the same series before. Game 5 of the ALCS was the 91st postseason game played at Fenway Park. In that game, Valdez joined Bob Gibson as the only visiting starting pitchers to throw eight or more innings and allow three or fewer hits. Valdez's was arguably even more historic given the current state of baseball, as he was the only starting pitcher to last eight innings this postseason. Atlanta will once again turn to a bullpen game, as Charlie Morton's injury from Game 1 left a void in the Braves' rotation for this game. The under has cashed in the last two games of this series, and three of the first four.
