Major League Baseball announced that Opening Day will feature a doubleheader with the Yankees and Nationals playing first, followed by the Giants at the Dodgers. Lines for both games have already been set, with BetMGM instilling the Dodgers as huge -278 favorites over the Giants. (BetMGM)

Betting Impact:

While the odds of -278 will be too much for some bettors to lay, keep in mind that the Dodgers were -300 favorites or higher many times throughout last season. The pitching matchup has not yet been set, but the Dodgers will likely trot out either Clayton Kershaw or Walker Buehler. The Giants figure to counter with veterans Johnny Cueto or Jeff Samardzija. The Giants are +225 underdogs, and only figure to go off at a higher price once we get closer to the season.
