Betting Impact:

Last night, the Dodgers were -170 moneyline favorites at BettingPros consensus odds. In the wake of this Scherzer news, their odds have plummeted to -130. The team is still deciding about its pitching plans. One option is to use Walker Buehler on short rest, or to go with Tony Gonsolin. The team added David Price to the roster to replace Scherzer, but it is unlikely the team will use him out of the gate as he has not appeared in a game since October 2nd. The Dodgers are trying to win their eighth consecutive elimination game, while the Braves are looking to snap a four-game losing streak in potential series-clinching games in the NLCS.
