The New York Mets were the last team on Wednesday's slate to announce their starting pitching decision. Once they listed Robert Gsellman as their starter, they opened as -125 moneyline favorites over the Washington Nationals, according to BettingPros consensus odds. (BettingPros)

Betting Impact:

It will be interesting to see how long of a leash the Mets give Gsellman as he was activated off the IL just last Friday. On the surface, it has the makings of the Mets making this a bullpen game as they look for their first win in the four-game series. The Nationals are small underdogs despite winning the first two games of the series by a combined 18-5. They send veteran Anibal Sanchez to the mound who is 5-6 with a 4.60 ERA in 17 career starts against the Mets.
