World Series MVP Stephen Strasburg was scratched from his first start against the Yankees earlier today with a nerve issue in his hand. He will be replaced by Erick Fedde.

Betting Impact:

Before the injury news, the Yankees were slight -130 moneyline favorites. Now that Fedde is replacing Strasburg, the line ballooned to Yankees -200 at FanDuel Sportsbook. Those that originally placed "listed pitchers" wagers before the news will have their bet refunded. However, anyone that placed an "action wager" still has this bet pending. That is good news for all Yankees bettors, and bad news for anyone who took the Nationals as their odds of winning are severely lessened.
