San Diego Padres starter Adrian Morejon is making his major league debut Tuesday afternoon when they meet the Texas Rangers. According to BettingPros consensus odds, only William Hill Sportsbook has a line posted for the game thus far. They instilled the Padres as -130 moneyline favorites while the Rangers are +120 underdogs. (BettingPros)

Betting Impact:

It may be surprising for some bettors to find a team with a pitcher making his major league debut as favorites on the road. However, that may be due in large part because of Rangers starter Mike Minor's (0-3, 5.49 ERA) ineffectiveness so far this year. Minor is 2-3 with a 4.06 ERA in his career against the Padres, but was 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA against them as recently as two years ago. Morejon is starting for the Padres because the team wanted to give its two best pitchers Chris Paddack and Dinelson Lamet a little extra rest before their next starts.
