The Tampa Bay Rays have a magic number of nine to clinch the AL East, and look to chip at that number in tonight's series opener against the Detroit Tigers.

Betting Impact:

The Rays are -205 moneyline favorites, per BettingPros consensus odds. Tampa Bay was expected to start Dietrich Enns who was coming off his first Major League victory in his last outing. While it still appears Enns will pitch today, the Rays will instead use Louis Head (1-0, 2.67) as their opener. Detroit counters with Tyler Alexander (2-2, 4.09). The under is 8-2-1 in Detroit's last 11 games as a road underdog, and is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these teams in Tampa Bay.
