Reverse line movement appearing in Reds-Brewers line

The Milwaukee Brewers have received 28% of bets and 40% of the early money in advance of Sunday's game matchup against the Cincinnati Reds. Despite receiving less than a majority of bets and money, the Brewers moneyline has increased from -115 to -125 according to BettingPros consensus odds. (source)

Betting Impact:

The trend of the Brewers line increasing despite receiving less than half of the betting action is an example of reverse line movement. This tends to happen when sportsbooks receive respected bets from sharps. Thus, they increase the odds where the sharp action is so that it is less enticing for other sharps to continue to pile on the line. Cincinnati backers are either puzzled or excited by the current lines, as the Reds have won the first two games of the series and are sending ace Sonny Gray to the mound.
