Royals look to avoid another hard-luck loss against the White Sox

The Kansas City Royals have lost three of their last four games, with each of the losses coming by one run. That includes yesterday's 3-2 series opening loss to the Chicago White Sox. (source)

Betting Impact:

Many bettors prefer only to play the runline on a game if they are choosing the favorite. If one was looking to back an underdog, many bettors would tell you it makes more financial sense to take a shot at their moneyline for much better odds, instead of hedging their bets that the underdog would lose by one run if they did not ultimately win the game. However, those that would have bet the moneyline in Kansas City's last four games would be 1-3 while those who bet their runlines would be 4-0. The Royals have odds of -129 at +1.5 runs today against Chicago, according to BettingPros consensus odds.
