Houston Cougars starting point guard DeJon Jarreau hurt his hip in the team’s 63-60 win over Rutgers in the Round of 32. Per an article published by 247Sports, Jarreau is hoping to be between 70-75% healthy for Houston’s Sweet 16 matchup against Syracuse. (source)

Betting Impact:

Per BettingPros consensus odds, Houston is six-point favorites over Syracuse. At most sportsbooks, the line has either held firm or only lowered from -6.5 to -6, which suggests they had already incorporated his injury into the original spread. Jarreau averages 10.9 PPG and 27.6 MPG for the Cougars. Syracuse is likely to tip-off as a public ‘dog in this one. The Orange are 6-0 ATS and 8-1 ATS in their last nine NCAA tournament games, while also going 7-2 outright.
