The Villanova Wildcats opened as 6.5-point favorites over the North Texas Mean Green, per BettingPros consensus odds.

Betting Impact:

Many pundits wrote off Villanova after losing senior point guard Collin Gillespie after a season-ending knee injury. Even more jumped off their bandwagon after the Wildcats lost their next two games. However, they responded with a 73-63 victory over a previously once-beaten Winthrop team and now get a scheduling break by facing North Texas instead of Purdue for the right to advance to the Sweet 16. The Mean Green is a formidable opponent that ranks in the top 60 nationally in many defensive categories. North Texas looks to improve to 6-0 ATS in neutral site games this year.
