The No. 6 seed USC Trojans have opened as six-point favorites over No. 11 seed Drake for Saturday’s first round matchup, per BettingPros consensus odds.

Betting Impact:

Drake was one of the most profitable ATS teams this season with a record of 20-6-1, while USC was also a profitable 16-13 ATS this year. Depending on when you wagered on Drake in their First Four game against Wichita State, you either did or did not cover the spread. The Bulldogs opened as +2 point underdogs but closed as -2 point favorites after the news of Shanquan Hemphill returning was released. However, Drake won by one point and covered as underdogs but not as a favorite. Hemphill’s return was the big reason the line jumped the fence, but oddsmakers have tempered expectations on how much impact he will have against the Trojans given that he played just ten minutes yesterday.
