Still, Chicago's defense will keep this interesting.
Can Mack be the difference in this mostly dormant rivalry? Yes. Is he one of the best weapons in the N.F.L. for combating Aaron Rodgers’s mastery? Yes. Is that going to be enough for a second-year starter at quarterback, Mitch Trubisky, to beat Rodgers and the Packers, in Green Bay, in a nationally televised game? C’mon. Chicago, though, just might keep the game close.
But Mitchell Trubisky is facing a sneaky-improved Green Bay defense in prime time on the road, and the Chicago QB still needs time to jell with his new skill players. Rodgers will produce, and Trubisky will be stuck in a one-dimensional funk in the second half.
The Pack proved surprisingly vulnerable at Lambeau Field last year –getting shut out by the Ravens, for one thing–but GB has all of its weapons back. The Bears are improving, but not fast enough for this game.
GB is projected as 10 win and CHI as 6 win. Spread should probably be 10+
