After opening as three-point home favorites, the spread for the AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills has been bet down from Kansas City -3 to -2.5, per BettingPros consensus odds.

Betting Impact:

Though this is just a half-point line move, it is considered significant movement considering the spread moved off the key number of three down to 2.5. At this point, there does not appear to be too much concern that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will not clear concussion protocol. However, a concussion is not the only injury Mahomes is dealing with, as he looked hobbled by a foot injury earlier in last week’s game. In addition, the Bills are getting due respect from bettors considering they have won 11 of their last 12 games, while the Chiefs have not covered a game spread since November 1st against the Jets.
