The Kansas City Chiefs have opened as -170 moneyline favorites in Super Bowl LV over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per BettingPros consensus odds.

Betting Impact:

This is a rematch of a Week 12 regular season game that the Chiefs won in Tampa 27-24. In their careers, Brady and Mahomes have met four times head-to-head, with each splitting two wins in the four contests. For what it is worth, Mahomes has the statistical edge in those games, as he has 11 touchdowns and three interceptions compared to Brady's six touchdowns and five interceptions. The Chiefs are favorites in large part because they have won 25 of the last 26 games that Patrick Mahomes has started at quarterback. Favorites are 35-19 SU in the previous four Super Bowls, including the Chiefs winning as small -1.5 point favorites in last year's Super Bowl against the 49ers. Many sportsbooks will be rooting for a Chiefs win as they have reported huge liability to the Buccaneers on futures bets. Some sportsbooks would report losses of upwards of seven-figures if the Buccaneers were to pull the upset in the Super Bowl.
