Consensus over/under for the 49ers-Packers matchup is set at 45

The 49ers and Packers consensus opening line has been set at 45. Compared to the AFC championship which is set at 52, this seems like a defensive struggle.

Betting Impact:

The opening line of 45 is almost identical to the totals that these two teams kicked off at last week. The 49ers-Vikings total was 44, while the Packers-Seahawks ranged between 47.5-48. Sharps tend to play unders in games where the teams have already played against each other once this year. In addition, these two defenses ranked in the top nine in points per game allowed. Because of this, the likely move for this line (if it moves at all) is to go down somewhat.
