Eddie Goldman (knee) ruled out vs. Bengals

Chicago Bears defensive tackle Eddie Goldman has been ruled out for Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Betting Impact:

Goldman was limited on Wednesday and was DNP on Thursday and Friday due to a knee injury. His status was doubtful, so it is not a surprise that he was not able to get cleared in time for the game. Goldman will be missed in the middle against a Bengals offense that finally seems to have Joe Mixon running behind a plus offensive line. The Bengals looked surprisingly good in Week 1, in large part due to the success of Mixon. The Bears pass rush will still be there, but if they struggle to contain Mixon, the boo birds may let Andy Dalton know what they think of him running the offense. Goldman's absence increases the likelihood of a Bengals win both SU and ATS.
