New York Jets left tackle Mekhi Becton will be out 4-6 weeks after dislocating his knee cap in their Week 1 loss to the Panthers. That means Becton will not be available for Week 2's divisional clash against the Jets. (Rich Cimini- ESPN)

Betting Impact:

Becton's injury news could be one of the reasons that the Patriots went from -5 to -5.5 points earlier this week, per BettingPros consensus odds. Becton was the team's first-round draft pick in 2020, and was to be counted upon to protect rookie quarterback Zach Wilson's blindside. You can bet Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will look to exploit Becton's absence as much as possible, but the loss is not as big as one would think for the Jets, who can move George Fant from right tackle to his more natural position at left tackle.
