Lions beat Falcons on miracle finish

The Detroit Lions beat the Atlanta Falcons 23-22 on a 11-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stanford to T.J. Hockenson as time expired.

Betting Impact:

The game would essentially have been over on the Falcons prior drive if running back Todd Gurley had fallen down short of the goal line. The Falcons were down two points and could have ran out the clock and kicked a last second field goal. Instead, he scored a touchdown with just over a minute left that put Atlanta up six, but gave Detroit enough time for an eight-play game winning drive. The win kept Detroit’s slim chances of winning the NFC North alive, and can now be found at +1600 odds to win the division at FanDuel Sportsbook.
