Detroit Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah will miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured Achilles last week against the 49ers. The news comes in advance of their matchup with the Green Bay Packers this week on Monday Night Football. (Eric Woodyard)

Betting Impact:

The Packers had opened as 10.5 point favorites, but have since ticked up to -11, per BettingPros consensus odds. Okudah's injury could likely be a key factor in this line movement, as he was arguably Detroit's best cornerback. The 2020 No. 3 overall pick will have his position filled by either rookie Ifeatu Melifonwu, while Bobby Price and Jerry Jacobs will also be in the mix for the job. Okudah would have been largely responsible for covering Green Bay's Davante Adams, who will look to have a big day and get their offense back on track after an inexcusable three-point performance in Week 1.
