Saints line drops amid news of Hill being named starter

In what may be seen as a surprise to many, the New Orleans Saints have named Taysom Hill and not Jameis Winston as their starting quarterback in Week 11 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Betting Impact:

In the wake of this news, the betting line dropped from Saints -4.5 to -3.5, per BettingPros consensus odds. Hill has seen the field quite a bit this year, but only has five pass attempts on the season. To this point, he has contributed mostly as a runner as he has 34 rushing attempts for 186 yards and one touchdown. Thus, it will be interesting to see how New Orleans utilizes Hill in a full game setting, or if Jameis Winston will actually enter the game in some play packages. Either way, oddsmakers seem to view New Orleans as a weaker team with Hill as opposed to Winston under center, as evidenced by the line movement.
