2022 Preakness Stakes Odds, Picks, Betting Analysis: Secret Oath
Secret Oath is one of the most intriguing horses in the 2022 Preakness Stakes field. The 3-year-old filly is coming off an impressive victory in the Kentucky Oaks and will look to become only the seventh filly to win the Preakness.

Secret Oath hung around in the middle of the pack before charging hard down the final quarter-mile. Saez was aboard Secret Oath during that race, and that rapport will matter at Pimlico.
But perhaps the more interesting performance was Secret Oath’s third-place finish in the Arkansas Derby in April. In that race, the filly finished behind Kentucky Derby participants Cyberknife and Barber Road, who finished 18th and sixth in the Derby, respectively. Neither Cyberknife or Barber Road are participating in the Preakness.
Secret Oath’s performance in the Arkansas Derby has me questioning whether she can hold up against Epicenter and Simplification, who finished second and fourth in the run for the roses.
Betting Preview and Prediction:
Secret Oath is a talented filly who deserves to be the third-favorite on the board. The pole position and jockey familiarity give her a great chance at making some history. Expect this filly to keep up with the fellas and be in a position to win. Secret Oath will be a fixture in all my exacta and trifecta bets, and I’ll sprinkle some on her to win outright in a race where she’s one of four horses with a legitimate chance.
