2022 Travelers Championship Bets: Outright Winner Odds & Top Pick

Following an incredible week of golf at The Country Club just up the road in Brookline, the Tour stays in New England this week for their usual stop at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn. With five of the past 11 stops here going to a playoff, the Travelers has offered some of the best finishes over the past decade and this year should be no different.

With four of the world’s top six players in the field this week, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, let’s take a closer look at the week’s course and where the value remains as Thursday approaches.

Outright Betting Picks

Patrick Cantlay (+1400 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
While he has largely been nowhere to be found in Majors, Cantlay has torn up non-Major events and comes into this week with a strong record here at Highlands. Over his last four starts here in the Travelers, Cantlay has finished T15 or better in all four with just two rounds higher than 69.

In his 13 starts this season, the former world No. 1 has made 11 cuts and finished ninth or higher in seven of them. Over his past five starts, Cantlay has finished T3 or higher in three, and he’s consistently turning in some of the best ball-striking week after week.

Following his top-20 performance at the U.S. Open, Cantlay enters the week No. 6 on Tour in birdie average and No. 3 in overall putting average. With two wins already so far this season, I look for Cantlay to find himself in contention at TPC River Highlands again this week, and to get it done in what should be a highly competitive field.
