Since winning the trophy in 2006, “The Opals†have remained a reliable force in each edition since. Australia will undoubtedly be in the mix when the World Cup’s finals come around this year because they have advanced to the semifinals in six of the past seven competitions.

The Australians will undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with at home, with veteran Lauren Jackson, 41, still playing strong and rising talents like Ezi Magbegor and Anneli Maley starting to flourish.
Canada – To Win Group B (+600)
Canada’s World Cup record isn’t the best, but that wouldn’t be unjust to say. The Canadians haven’t even made it to the final, and their best results were bronze medals in 1979 and 1986.
However, Victor Lapena’s team is currently ranked fourth in the FIBA Women’s World Rankings, which means they come into this tournament with one of the best teams they’ve had in the past 30 years. Before placing second in 2019 and fourth in 2021, the Canadians won the AmeriCup back-to-back in 2015 and 2017. As a result, they know what it takes to advance far in important competitions.
