2022 World Cup Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (11/26)

Groups C and D are back in action Saturday, following a Tuesday slate that featured one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history as Saudi Arabia knocked off tournament-favorite Argentina. In Group D, reigning World Cup champion France handled business against Australia, already looking dominant as group play continues to unfold.

Let’s take a closer look at all four Saturday matches and see where the value lies.

Group D: Tunisia vs. Australia (Al Janoub Stadium, Al Wakra; 1 p.m.)

After taking an early 1-0 lead vs. France, the wheels came off late in the first half before ultimately losing 1-4. The Socceroos will need to get back on track quickly, as they now face a Tunisia team with their World Cup chances on the line.

For Tunisia, a tough game vs. Denmark produced a 0-0 draw, earning a point. As they enter this match, they must also stay relevant in the group. One of the best defensive teams in this group, look for another tight back line from Tunisia as this one grinds to a low total finish.

Pick: Under 2.5 | -165 at DK Sportsbook

Group C: Poland vs. Saudi Arabia (Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan; 4 p.m.)

It will be hard for this Saudi Arabia team to top what they’ve already accomplished, knocking off the powerhouse that is Argentina 2-1 in their opening match. For Poland, a 0-0 draw vs. Mexico wasn’t the result they hoped for, but it keeps them alive in a wide-open group.

Led by elite-level striker Salem Al Dawsari, I don’t think this Saudi Arabia team is a mirage, and I like another competitive showing from them in this one.

Pick: Saudi Arabia +0.5 | +110 at DK Sportsbook

Group D: France vs. Denmark (Stadium 974, Doha; 7 p.m.)

Group D’s favorite lived up to expectations on Tuesday, dismantling Australia 4-1 in a game they took control of late in the first half. Olivier Giroud led the way for the French, scoring two goals on the day before getting much-deserved rest late into the second half.

As for Denmark, their 0-0 draw vs. Tunisia was not the result they were hoping for, but being alive is all they can ask for.  Their result exposed what many Danish feared, however, an inability to score goals.

Expect a similar result here.

Pick: Both Teams to Score – No | -115 at DK Sportsbook

Group C: Argentina vs. Mexico (Lusail Stadium, Lusail; 10 p.m.)

Mexico played well despite their 0-0 draw earlier in the week, remaining alive in what is now an even more difficult group to navigate. Unfortunately for them, however, they now draw what will surely be a ticked-off Argentina team who managed just one goal (a penalty) in their shocking opening game defeat.

Look for Messi and company to get right in this one.

Pick: Argentina -1.5 | +170 at DK Sportsbook
