2022 World Cup Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (11/27)
Group E was home to one of the biggest upsets of the Group Stage when Japan came back from down 1-0 to defeat Germany 2-1. Later that afternoon, Spain put together the most dominant performance of the tournament against Costa Rica. In Group F, Canada had chances against Belgium but couldn't score, and Morocco and Croatia played to a 0-0 draw.

Group E: Japan vs. Costa Rica (Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan; 1 p.m.)
Costa Rica was picked as one of the worst teams in this tournament, and they looked the part in their first game. They lost 7-0 to Spain and they did not take a single shot. Meanwhile, Japan could wrap up a birth in the Knockout Stage with a win and a Spain win or tie against Germany.
Japan's offense is not as good as Spain's, and it is unlikely that Costa Rica does not attempt a shot again, especially after Japan gave up nine on target in game one. Costa Rica may even find the back of the net once. Yet, even if they do, Japan should be able to take advantage of a really bad defense and win this one by multiple goals.
Pick: Japan to Win by 2+ Goals (+125 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Group F: Belgium vs. Morocco (Al Thumama Stadium, Doha; 4 p.m.)
Belgium was outplayed for most of their match against Canada. However, on the one great opportunity the Belgians had, Michy Batshuayi found the back of the net.
They now have to take on a Morocco team that is very solid defensively and can pose a threat offensively if the Belgians continue to let their opponent dominate the time of possession.
Though these two teams combined for just one goal in their first game, they each had opportunities and allowed their opponents opportunities, too. Without really knowing what either of these teams provides heading into their second game, we're recommending over 2.5 goals for the game.
Pick: Over 2.5 Total Goals (+105 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Group F: Croatia vs. Canada (Khalifa International Stadium, Al Rayyan; 7 p.m.)
Against Belgium, Canada did everything right except put the ball in the back of the net. They attacked relentlessly, leading to 22 shots, including three on goal, and a penalty kick stopped.
They looked like the better side for most of the game, and they will now take on Croatia, who didn't look great in their first matchup. Neither of these teams scored in their first matchup, but that will not be the case in this one.
Canada should have confidence after their performance against Belgium. Look for them to score their first World Cup goal, potentially even more, as they win this one outright.
Pick: Canada Moneyline (+255 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Group E: Spain vs. Germany (Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor; 10 p.m.)
In their first games, Spain was dominant, and Germany was disappointing. These two teams were expected to be the favorites to come out of Group E, but Spain could end Germany's World Cup dreams with a win on Sunday.
Though Germany scored their only goal on a penalty kick, they did have 26 shots and nine on goal against Japan. If they continue to attack like that, they will definitely find the back of the net against Spain.
Spain's defense was not tested in the first game, but their offense was outstanding against a bad team. There is value in taking each of these teams to score over 1.5 goals; however, we're going to take the total in the game to go over 3.5 at an even better value. This also ensures that if Spain dominates Germany, we still win the bet with a 3-1 or similar result.
Pick: Over 3.5 Goals (+170 DraftKings Sportsbook)
