2022 World Cup Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (11/29)
Both Group A and B have plenty left to play for with seven of the eight teams across both still having a chance at reaching the next round. With all eyes on the USA vs. Iran game slated for 2:00 PM EST, letâs take a closer look at all four Tuesday games and see where the value is for each.
World Cup Group 2022 Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (11/29)
Group A: Netherlands vs. Qatar (Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor; 6 p.m.)
Coming into this match tied for the worst goal differential (-4) in the tournament, Qatar has the best left for last as they take on a Netherlands team that currently leads the group. The Dutch donât just need a win here, but one with style as they are presently tied with Ecuador at the top, with four points and a goal differential of +2.
Look for the Netherlands led by Memphis Depay to run this one up before all is said and done.
Pick: Netherlands -1.5 | -175 at DK Sportsbook
Group A: Ecuador vs. Senegal (Khalifa International Stadium, Al Rayyan; 6 p.m.)
Aforementioned Ecuador got things started in the first match of the tournament with a 2-0 defeat of host country Qatar, dominating large stretches of the game before the final result. For Senegal, their own two-goal (3-1) win over Qatar has them set up with a âwin and youâre inâ scenario for this one.
I expect a tight match in this one and for the draw to come threw at over 2 to 1 odds.
Pick: Draw | +220 at DK Sportsbook
Group B: Wales vs. England (Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan; 10 p.m.)
Despite the sluggish start that offered a draw against the United States and a loss to Iran, Wales still controls their own destiny with a win here advancing them. For England, a 4-0 win over Iran has been the difference to this point, as they lead the group with a record of 1-1-0 and a goal differential of +4.
With a win here solidifying their win of Group B, look for a concerted effort from England.
Pick: England | -240 at DK Sportsbook
Group B: Iran vs. United States (Al Thumama Stadium, Doha; 10 p.m.)
Eight years of anticipation comes down to one game, as the United States needs a win over Iran to punch its ticket into the next round. For Iran, a win or a draw will do the trick, as their 2-0 win over Wales has been the difference thus far.
While Iran will all but try to force a draw in this one, the United States has its back against the wall and all the pressure in this one. I like for a draw to cancel this bet and for the USA to get it done once and for all.
Pick: USA â Draw No Bet | -245 at DK Sportsbook
