2022 World Cup Betting Picks & Predictions: Cameroon vs. Serbia (Monday)

It’s been an eventful opening week to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and we’re starting to get an idea of who will push through to the Round of 16 and who will be heading home after just three matches. There haven’t been too many surprises in groups G and H as Brazil and Portugal both took care of business and collected three points in their opening games. However, in a stacked Group H, this second match day will have a major impact on the futures of South Korea, Ghana, and Uruguay. Let’s dive into each game and get the best bet locked in! Here’s a closer look at Cameroon vs. Serbia.

2022 World Cup Betting Picks & Predictions: Cameroon vs. Serbia

Group G: Cameroon vs. Serbia (Al Janoub Stadium, Al Wakra; 1 p.m.)

Cameroon and Serbia each dropped their World Cup openers and are currently fighting for their tournament lives. The oddsmakers see the Serbians as a -145 favorite, while Cameroon comes back at +425, and the draw is +285.

While the African side comes in a sizable underdog, I think they have a great chance to hang around in this game and pick up a point. In their 1-0 loss to Switzerland, they managed 49% of the possession and actually outshot their opponent 8 (5 on goal) to 7 (3). Look for this experienced attacking duo of Eric Choupo-Moting (Bayern Munich) and Vincent Aboubakar (Al-Nassr) to cause some issues for Serbia’s defense. If Cameroon is going to pick up any points this tournament, they’ll come in this game. I think they’ll be able to do enough to force a draw against a pedestrian Serbian team.

Bet: Draw (+285 via DraftKings)
