2022 World Cup Betting Picks & Predictions: South Korea vs. Ghana (Monday)

It’s been an eventful opening week to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and we’re starting to get an idea of who will push through to the Round of 16 and who will be heading home after just three matches. There haven’t been too many surprises in groups G and H as Brazil and Portugal both took care of business and collected three points in their opening games. However, in a stacked Group H, this second match day will have a major impact on the futures of South Korea, Ghana, and Uruguay. Let’s dive into each game and get the best bet locked in! Here’s a closer look at South Korea vs. Ghana.

2022 World Cup Betting Picks & Predictions: South Korea vs. Ghana

Group H: South Korea vs. Ghana (Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan; 4 p.m.)

For South Korea, securing a 0-0 draw in their first match against Uruguay should be considered a major victory. As for Ghana, they threatened Portugal several times throughout their opening contest but ultimately found themselves on the wrong side of a 3-2 loss. The Koreans are currently +150 to win, while Ghana is +205, and the draw is +215.

I’m going to roll with South Korea on the moneyline in the day’s second match. They’re coming off of that impressive draw against 14th-ranked Uruguay. Since they were able to shut down Edison Cavani (Valencia) and Luis Suárez (Nacional), I think they’ll have no problem with Ghana. Ghana also showed that they’re vulnerable in the midfield and on defense. Their lack of experience really hurt them late in the game against Portugal, and I think South Korea will be able to expose them once again. Let’s lock in South Korea here.

Bet: South Korea Moneyline (+150 via DraftKings)
