Group E was home to one of the biggest upsets of the Group Stage when Japan came back from down 1-0 to defeat Germany 2-1. Later that afternoon, Spain put together the most dominant performance of the tournament against Costa Rica. In Group F, Canada had chances against Belgium but couldn’t score, and Morocco and Croatia played to a 0-0 draw. Here are each of our top picks for Sunday. 2022 World Cup Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Spain vs. Germany

Group E: Spain vs. Germany (Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor; 10 p.m.)

In their first games, Spain was dominant, and Germany was disappointing. These two teams were expected to be the favorites to come out of Group E, but Spain could end Germany’s World Cup dreams with a win on Sunday.

Though Germany scored their only goal on a penalty kick, they did have 26 shots and nine on goal against Japan. If they continue to attack like that, they will definitely find the back of the net against Spain.

Spain’s defense was not tested in the first game, but their offense was outstanding against a bad team. There is value in taking each of these teams to score over 1.5 goals; however, we’re going to take the total in the game to go over 3.5 at an even better value. This also ensures that if Spain dominates Germany, we still win the bet with a 3-1 or similar result.
