2022 World Cup Betting Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (11/22)

The 2022 World Cup live from Qatar kicks off on Sunday, as the next three weeks offer non-stop action between the best soccer teams in the world. While Monday will get much of the headlines given that it’s the first chance to see Team USA in action, there is a host of good games on Tuesday that I’m dialed in on.

Let’s take a closer look at all four Tuesday matches and give a pick for each.

Other World Cup Game Picks & Predictions

World Cup Group 2022 Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (11/22)

Group C: Argentina vs. Saudi Arabia (Lusail Stadium, Lusail; 1 p.m.)

Currently ranked #51 in the world, Saudi Arabia comes into this World Cup amongst the worst teams in the tournament. While they may sneak a goal by at some point in this group, they just happen to draw a tournament favorite in their opening match, and I expect Argentina to show them just that.

You’ll hear early and often how this will be Lionel Messi’s final World Cup, and I think you see him find pay dirt in this one. While they could control the game, I expect goal differential to be top of mind as they bury the lesser team here.

Pick: Argentina -1.5 | -180 at DK Sportsbook

Group D: Denmark vs. Tunisia (Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan; 4 p.m.)

Christian Eriksen and Denmark are aware that they have a chance to win the 2022 World Cup, and that their path there starts on Tuesday in Al Rayyan when they take on Tunisia, one of the tournament’s most trendy underdogs. Eriksen is back and doing well following a scary EURO 2020 health scare; as he is now a Manchester United player and thriving.

After breezing through a relatively easy round of qualifying, they draw a tough foe here out of the gates in a Tunisia squad that plays stout defense. Outside of a 1-5 defeat to Brazil during qualifying, Tunisia did not give up a single goal in the seven matches prior.

Denmark doesn’t exactly light up the scoreboard, and all signs for me here point toward an under.

Pick: Under 2.5 | -145 at DK Sportsbook

Group C: Mexico vs. Poland (Stadium 974, Doha; 7 p.m.)

Mexico will look to keep their run of seven straight World Cup appearances of getting out of the group stage, and that could very well be decided in this game; the most critical of their early matches. For Poland, Robert Lewandowski’s prime days are certainly numbered for Poland, and this may be their last real chance to make some noise on the international stage.

With the injuries to Mexico and the resurgence of Polish stars Sebastian Szymanski and Nicola Zalewski, I like for Poland to have enough to get this one done.

Pick: Poland | +185 at DK Sportsbook

Group D: France vs. Australia (Al Janoub Stadium; 10 p.m.)

The returning champions will get play started on Tuesday, as they return one of the favorites to win the entire thing once again. If qualifying was any indication, they should be just fine in this group at a minimum, not losing a single game in the build-up to these games.

The Socceroos put up 11 straight wins during the qualification process, but grinding out wins against UAE and Peru doesn’t exactly inspire confidence at this level.

Behind two of the best players in this tournament Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe, look for France to relatively easily handle business in this one.

Pick: France -1.5 | -130 at DK Sportsbook
