2022 World Cup Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (12/3)
Seemingly as soon as we were getting started the 2022 FIFA World Cup reached its halfway mark, as group play is complete and things are now single-elimination. On Saturday, Group A winner Netherlands will take on Group B runner-up USA in the early slot, while Group C winner Argentina takes on Group D’s runner-up Australia.
Let’s take a closer look at how things might pan out with two single-game parlays to get take us through the action.

Netherlands vs. USA (Khalifa International Stadium, Al Rayyan; 10 a.m.)
With a ton on the line for both of these countries, let’s get crazy.
Announced late Friday, “Captain America” Christian Pulisic is confirmed to be playing in Saturday’s critical match, as the USA will need him to play well if they want to advance. I also expect to see Gio Reyna get more playing time in this match, as the USA will need all the help it can get in the goal-scoring department.
With just eight chances on goal, the Netherlands have been lethal, scoring on five of them as they come into this match with some of the best strikers in the world. Led by Memphis Depay, look for the Dutch to sneak by at least two goals past USA goalkeeper Matt Turner.
In what I expect to be back and forth game and with the flu supposedly going around the Dutch locker room, look for the USA to shock the world.

Argentina vs. Australia (Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan; 2 p.m.)
- Leg 1: Anytime Goalscorer – Lionel Messi (-140)
- Leg 2: Anytime Goalscorer – Lautaro Martinez (+130)
- Leg 3: Under 3.5 Goals (-235)
From here on in, every Argentina game of this World Cup has the potential to be Lionel Messi’s last in an Argentina uniform. Already with two goals in this World Cup, I like for Messi to make it at least three in this spot vs. an Australia team that will all but surely be on the wrong end of a mismatched affair.
Messi’s teammate Lautaro Martinez also figures to get in on the action, as the Inter Milan striker is one of the best in this tournament to not yet find the scorers sheet. In what I expect to be a 2-0 or 2-1 Argentina win, look for it to be a family affair for the winners as they advance to the quarterfinals.
