Let’s take a look at the best odds, picks, and predictions for this week’s Big3 basketball action.
Big3 Basketball Best Bets
Here are our best bets for this week of Big3 basketball action.
Ball Hogs vs. Triplets
After their terrible performance last weekend against the Killer 3’s, the Triplets are an easy team to pick against this week. They scored just 33 points a week ago, as they were defeated by 18 points. Joe Johnson had just 18 points in that game, and despite scoring his 100th point of the season, Jeremy Pargo had just nine points. Meanwhile, the Ball Hogs have won two in a row, and their last loss came by a score of 54-51. So this is an easy play on the Ball Hogs as underdogs, right? Wrong. Last week was a bad macthup for the Triplets. Between the talent on their team, and the fact that oddsmakers aren’t going to make a line this easy, take the favorites.
Pick: Triplets -2.5 (-115)

Trilogy vs. Ghost Ballers
Trilogy secured a 51-43 victory last week over 3’s Company. While the score may suggest a tight contest, Trilogy was dominant, outscoring 3’s Company 26-12 in the first half and never letting them back in. This week, they get the Ghost Ballers, a top-five scoring team in the league. They’re coming off a dominant win as well, as they defeated 3 Headed Monsters 51-37. While the Ghost Ballers are 4-2, most of their success this season has come against the worst teams in the league. Meanwhile, Trilogy has only lost to the Triplets and Power, two of the best teams in the league. Because of that, we’re backing Trilogy as small favorites over a team that is not as good as their record suggests.
Pick: Trilogy -2.5 (-115)
-Phil Wood
Power vs. Killer 3’s
The Killer 3’s were dominant in their win last week over the Triplets. They outscored their opponents 25-10 in the second half on their way to an 18-point victory. Franklin Session had 28 points in the game, but it was the defense that was most impressive. The Killer 3’s have now allowed just 240 points this season, which is 21 points fewer than the next lowest total. Their opponent this week is Power, a team fresh off a loss to the Enemies. They’re currently the only team above .500 that has more points against than points for. At times, they look like the team to beat, but when they’re bad, they look inept. This is going to be a great game, and with how good the defense of the Killer 3’s is mixed with Power’s talent, we expect this to be close until the very end. That bodes well for the over.
Pick: Over 92.5 (-115)
-Phil Wood
3’s Company vs. Enemies
The 3's Company has won just two games throughout the Big 3. Many fans were excited about this team, featuring Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers. But both of those players have shot below 43% from the field. Only Chalmers has more than eight assists on the roster through six games. They'll take on the Enemies, who are 4-2. Jordan Crawford has been an elite scorer, adding 115 points on 54.3% from the field. Crawford's the main contributor, but Elijah Stewart and Quincy Miller have also shot above 46% from the field. The Enemies are much more consistent. Ride with them.
Pick: Enemies -4.5 (-115)

Bivouac vs. Tri-State
After another poor start to their game last week, Bivouac dropped to 2-4 on the season. Gerald Green and Corey Brewer have each added 81 points in six games. However, neither has shot above 42% from the field. There's little passing between Gerald Green, Garlon Green, and Corey Brewer. Plus, this team is poor in its depth. On the other hand, Tri-State lost a close one to the Aliens last week, giving the Aliens their only win of the season. That’s a bit embarrassing. Jason Richardson has carried the offense, but Justin Dentmon has hurt it. Although he's added 63 points, he's shot 30.6% from the field and 25.8% from three. Neither team is exciting in this matchup. But someone has to win. Jason Richardson will be the best player on the floor, so I'll ride with Tri-State.
Pick: Tri-State -3.5 (-115)
