Golfers will play one of the first two rounds at the North Course while the other three are on the South Course. Looking at the top of previous leaderboards, the metric that predicts the most success at this event is SG: Tee to Green.

Best Longshot Bets for 2023 Farmers Insurance Open

Si Woo Kim (+4800 via Circa): 0.2u

The first golfer we are targeting this week is Si Woo Kim, who sits at 48/1 at Circa. Starting this season in incredible form, Kim has made all six cuts.

He boasts three top-25 finishes over that stretch, including his win at the Sony Open in Hawaii and his T8 finish at the Shriners Children’s Open. Due to this impressive start, Kim currently ranks eighth in the FedEx Cup Standings and 40th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).

Kim’s incredible all-around game is the main component of this success, as he ranks 12th on Tour this season in SG: Tee to Green. His strong iron play this year is not an outlier either, as he finished last season ranked 38th on Tour in SG: Tee to Green.

Making the cut in three of his last four appearances at this tournament, including his 11th place finish last year, it would not be surprising if Kim finds himself towards the top of the leaderboard once again this week.

Kurt Kitayama (+10000 via BetMGM): 0.1u

Another golfer we are targeting this week is Kurt Kitayama, who currently ranks 20th on Tour in SG: Tee to Green. Like Kim, this ranking is not an outlier, as Kitayama finished last season inside the top 70 in SG: Tee to Green as well.

Entering this week in good form, Kitayama has made each of his last three cuts. He boasts two top-30 finishes over those three tournaments, including his second-place finish at THE CJ CUP in South Carolina.

Due to this recent strong play, Kitayama currently ranks 37th in the FedEx Cup Standings and 43rd in the OWGR. We are getting such a long number on Kitayama because he missed the cut in his lone career appearance at this tournament last year. But with his brilliant iron play this season and strong recent form, he is worth taking a flyer at 100/1.
