2023 NFL Divisional Round Touchdown Scorer Player Prop Bet Picks (Saturday)

The Divisional Round of the playoffs kicks off on Saturday with two exciting matchups. The first contest is between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Kansas City Chiefs. These two teams faced off in Week 10, with the Chiefs winning 27-17. Since that matchup, the Jaguars have been one of the hottest teams in the NFL, winning seven of eight games, including six straight.

In the second game Saturday, we have a matchup of NFC East division rivals as the New York Giants take on the Philadelphia Eagles. These two teams faced off twice during the regular season contests, with the Eagles winning both matchups. In Week 14, they won 48-22 in New York. The second matchup was Week 18 in a meaningless game for the Giants. They sat several starters, including Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley. Yet, Philadelphia barely pulled out the victory, 22-16.

Best NFL Divisional Round Touchdown Scorer Player Prop Bets

Millions of dollars will get bet on these games. However, which touchdown prop bets should you bet? Let’s take a look.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Jaguars First TD Scorer: Evan Engram (TE) +700

Last week the Jaguars had to claw their way out of an ugly first half to get the win over the Los Angeles Chargers. However, Engram kick-started the comeback, scoring the first Jacksonville touchdown right before halftime. More importantly, the veteran tight end scored the first Jaguars touchdown in 17.7% of the games during the regular season, including two of the final six contests. Meanwhile, the Chiefs surrendered nine receiving touchdowns to tight ends during the regular season, the fifth-most in the NFL. Furthermore, a tight end scored the first touchdown against Kansas City in two of their past four games.

Chiefs First TD Scorer: Jerick McKinnon (RB) +450

Over the final six weeks of the regular season, McKinnon was a scoring machine. The veteran running back had nine touchdowns during that span, scoring the first Kansas City touchdown in four contests. Furthermore, he had the opening Chiefs score in nearly a third of the games during the regular season. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have struggled to keep opposing running backs out of the end zone this year. Last week they surrendered two touchdowns to Austin Ekeler, including the first score of the game. More importantly, the first touchdown scored against Jacksonville was by a running back in four of the final seven games of the regular season.

Anytime TD Scorer: Christian Kirk (WR – JAC) +150

Kirk was one of several Jacksonville off-season additions that paid off for the team. The veteran receiver led the Jaguars with eight receiving touchdowns during the regular season. More importantly, he has scored a touchdown in back-to-back games, averaging 11 targets per contest during the span. Furthermore, Kirk had his best performance of the year in Week 10 against the Chiefs, totaling nine receptions for 105 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Meanwhile, Kansas City gave up 20 receiving touchdowns to wide receivers during the regular season, the second-most in the NFL.

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Giants First TD Scorer: Saquon Barkley (RB) +270

After struggling with injuries the past few years, Barkley played in every game this season until the meaningless Week 18 contest. The superstar running back had 10 rushing touchdowns during the regular season, the ninth-most in the NFL and the most since his rookie year. More importantly, Barkley scored the first New York touchdown last week against the Minnesota Vikings and the first offensive score in 37.5% of the games he played during the regular season. More aggressive bettors should also consider Isaiah Hodgins to score the first Giants touchdown at +800. He scored the first New York touchdown in the Week 14 matchup against the Eagles and in two of the final five games of the regular season.

Eagles First TD Scorer: Miles Sanders (RB) +400

The Eagles had 32 rushing touchdowns during the regular season, the most in the NFL. Sanders played a massive role in their running game, totaling 11 rushing touchdowns after scoring zero in 2021. Furthermore, the veteran running back had nine rushing touchdowns before this season. More importantly, he scored the first Philadelphia touchdown in 17.7% of the games during the regular season, including the Week 14 matchup against the Giants. Meanwhile, the first touchdown surrendered by New York has been by a running back in nearly half of the games during the regular season. Another solid option is Jalen Hurts at +380. The star quarterback scored the first Eagles touchdown in 35.3% of the games this year.

Anytime TD Scorer: Jalen Hurts (QB – PHI) -120

While Sanders had a career-high 11 rushing touchdowns, he still didn’t lead the team in that category. Instead, Hurts had a team-high 13 rushing touchdowns, finishing with the second-most in the NFL this year despite missing two games. More importantly, the star quarterback was on fire before getting hurt in Week 15. Over the previous six games before the injury, Hurts had seven rushing touchdowns, scoring at least once in all but one contest. Furthermore, he had at least one rushing touchdown in 60% of the games this year, including the Week 14 matchup against the Giants. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins had a rushing touchdown last week against New York.
