Today’s 2023 The Basketball Tournament (TBT) Bets

Here are our top picks for today’s 2023 TBT action.

Heartfire vs. LA Cheaters

Heartfire knocked off Juco Products in their first game in The Basketball Tournament. It was only a 69-66 win. Marcus Hall scored 16 points, but Eric Griffin and Tevin Mack were the two best players for Heartfire in that game. Although Davin White scored no points, he added a team-high +13 in 19.5 minutes. They'll take on the LA Cheaters, who defeated Living The Dream 86-72. They had six players in double-figures and only played an eight-man rotation. This team has a lot of great rebounders and players who can score at a high rate. Back the LA Cheaters to move on.

Pick: LA Cheaters +1 (-115)

Mass Street vs. Show Me Squad

Mass Street escaped We are D3, 70-67 in their first matchup. Thomas Robinson scored 21 points, while Mario Little added 17. Keith Langford also contributed with 15 points. But other than that, Mass Street didn't get much offensive production from anyone else. They'll face Show Me Squad, in the second round of the tournament. Show Me Squad scored 96 points in their first game and will likely score enough to defeat Mass Street. Erick Neal, Isaiah Mosley, and Jontay Porter all added at least 21 points in that game. Show Me Squad is really only playing six players. That could hurt them a bit. But for now, I don't think it'll be an issue. These guys can score.

Pick: Show Me Squad +6 (-115)

Program for Autism vs. Fort Wayne Champs

Program for Austism is also one of the better-scoring teams in The Basketball Tournament. They're deep with multiple guys that can score at will. Program for Austim had five players in double figures, and nine players scored at least two baskets in their first matchup. Meanwhile, they'll face Fort Wayne Champs, who added an 85-52 win over the Bucketneers. Steph Hicks added 25 points and a +26 when he was in. Stanley Whittaker Jr. played nearly 30 minutes and had a +35. Even Tayler Parsons added a +40 on the court, with Brandon Gilbeck and Grayson Murphy adding at least a +27. Fort Wayne Champs are currently as in sync as any team in this tournament. I'll take them to win a close one.

Pick: Fort Wayne Champs +4.5 (-115)

Zip ‘Em Up vs. Nasty Nati

Nasty Nati will play in their second-round game after defeating The Money Team in their first game. They've got five guys they can rely on, but the team is pretty weak after that. Jarron Cumberland scored 28, and Jacob Evans added 24 points. Both are going to be premier scorers for Nasty Nati. They'll take on Zip Em Up, who added a come-back win against Georgia Kingz. Zip Em Up runs deep and played 12 different players in that game. It doesn't feel like they're serious about winning. If they fall early to Nasty Nati, they'll be finished. Take Nasty Nati in this one.

Pick: Nasty Nati +4.5 (-115)
