2023 WNBA All-Star Game Odds & Picks: Team Wilson vs. Team Stewart (Saturday)
The WNBA is headed to the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas for this year’s All-Star Game. The game will be featured on ABC at 8:30 pm ET this Saturday between Team Stewart and Team Wilson.
A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces and Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty were the top vote-getters and are the All-Star Game captains for the second straight year.
Elena Delle Done was named to the NBA All-Star Game but was replaced by Atlanta’s Rhyne Howard due to an injury. All 12 teams in the WNBA have at least one player participating in the game.

Team Wilson (-220) vs. Team Stewart (+172)
A’ja Wilson’s squad features herself, Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, Aliyah Boston, and Arike Ogunbowale in the starting five. The team includes three players from the Aces with Gray, Young, and Kelsey Plum.
Meanwhile, Breanna Stewart snagged two of her New York teammates, Courtney Vandersloot and Sabrina Ionescu. But both of those players are reserves. The starters include Brittany Griner, Jewell Lloyd, Satou Sabally, and Nneka Ogwumike.
Team Wilson dominated Team Stewart 134-112 in last year’s game. Oddsmakers are expecting a similar outcome, but Team Stewart has a solid foundation of scorers that can keep up with Team Wilson this time.
Lloyd leads the league with 25.7 points per game and will start for Team Stewart. Meanwhile, Stewart is second in the WNBA in points scored. Team Stewart also has the league’s fourth and fifth leading scorers, with Napheesa Collier and Nneka Ogwumike. The scoring on Team Stewart can’t be overlooked.
On the other hand, Team Wilson has Arike Ogunbowale as their leading scorer. She’s scored 21.6 points per game. But out of the top ten scorers in the league, Arike has the lowest efficiency. Arike is a high-volume three-point shooter, but she’s made only 2.6 of 8.6 threes per game. Jackie Young should save Team Wilson’s offense from downtown, but Team Stewart’s squad stands out a bit more when scoring.
And that’s all that they do in an All-Star game. They don’t defend at a high level. They score. Team Stewart does that more. Therefore, I’ll take Team Stewart and the points in this year’s All-Star Game.
Bet: Team Stewart +4.5 (-104)
