2024 3M Open Odds & Picks: Head-to-Head Matchups
The PGA Tour is winding down its 2024 regular season, with the 3M Open as its next event. TPC Twin Cities is a par 71 filled with water hazards and comprised of bentgrass fairways and greens, offering a much different test than the links course we watched golfers navigate at the British Open.
Tony Finau, Sam Burns, and Akshay Bhatia form the top-three betting favorites, followed closely by Billy Horschel and Sahith Theegala. Only Finau has won this event among these five golfers, recording a 17-under-par victory in 2022. Theegala and Bhatia are making their debut, while Horschel recorded a T13 finish in his debut at this event in 2023. Burns turned in a T7 finish in 2019 and a T32 finish in 2020.
Here, we’re recommending a couple of 72-hole tournament head-to-head matchups to bet before Round 1 tees off at TPC Twin Cities. Follow me on X @Matt_MacKay_ for more free plays and PGA Tour best bets throughout the weekend.

Keegan Bradley vs. Cam Davis
Keegan Bradley and Cam Davis are the first tournament head-to-head matchup we’re targeting. Bradley has not had a strong showing in 2024, although he did turn in a runner-up finish at the Charles Schwab Challenge back in mid-May. Bradley’s last time playing the 3M Open was in 2021, when he logged a T39 finish, going 2-over-par in his final two rounds.
Cam Davis enters this event with a bit more pep in his step. The Aussie won his second Rocket Mortgage Classic event a few weeks ago at Detroit Golf Club and has performed well at the 3M Open. Davis’ previous finishes include T10, T16, T28, and T12. Plus, he’s played this event in every year it’s existed on the PGA Tour schedule.
Davis’ familiarity with the course gives us value on Davis as a slight 72-hole underdog at -105 odds against Bradley, so let’s stake a unit on this tournament matchbet prop.
Pick: Cam Davis (-105)
Erik van Rooyen vs. Mac Meissner
Next up, we’re targeting Erik van Rooyen against Mac Meissner. van Rooyen has either missed the cut or gone T58 in each of his last two outings at the 3M Open. Mac Meissner will make his debut but he’s riding momentum from a solo fourth-place finish at the Barracuda Championship.
Meissner isn’t a name as well known as van Rooyen, who has played well in certain events this season, but Meissner is top-50 in SG: approach and 17th SG: around the green. His irons and scrambling are strong, plus he is 21st in scoring average with three top-ten finishes, including at Valero and the Charles Schwab Challenge.
Let’s stake one more unit on Meissner as a slight underdog to beat van Rooyen in this 72-hole tournament head-to-head matchbet at TPC Twin Cities.
Pick: Mac Meissner (-105)
