2024 F1 Miami Grand Prix Odds, Picks, & Predictions
The first major race of the 2024 Formula One season is here: the third running of the Miami Grand Prix. Held at the Miami International Autodrome, which is a course set up around Hard Rock Stadium, the new race has been a main focus of F1 since it was introduced in 2022.
Max Verstappen has been victorious at each of the first two Miami GP races, and has managed that despite coming from behind each year. In 2022, he came from third on the grid to win, and last year, he came from all the back in ninth to reach the checkered flag first.
This year, we should probably be expecting the same. Outside of the Australian GP, when Verstappen had to retire early due to an engine malfunction, the World Champion has been unstoppable, winning every race and just dominating the grid. Can anyone stop Max this week in Miami?

2024 Miami GP Predictions
Max Verstappen: -600 to Win, -200 Fastest Lap
At this point, it seems counterproductive to bet on someone else other than Verstappen to take home the winning trophy at any Grand Prix, let alone one that he has won each time it’s been hosted. The same goes for this year, as I’ll once again be predicting that Verstappen crosses the finish line before anyone else.
Verstappen is coming off wins at the Chinese and Japanese Grand Prix where he won each race by at least 12 seconds, so I think it’s fair to opine that his Australian GP retirement was nothing more than a fluke. Despite both of his Miami victories being at shorter times than that (three and five seconds), I won’t be betting on anyone besides Max to win this week.
In addition, I’ll also be adding him to win fastest lap, something he’s done at each Miami GP previously as well.

2024 Miami Grand Prix Bets
Charles Leclerc: +125 Sprint Podium Finish
This year, the Miami GP has the Sprint component embedded into the race for the first time, which should be an intriguing wrinkle to the weekend’s festivities. Scuderia Ferrari has had a couple up-and-down performances after finishing 1-2 in the Australian GP, but this is an opportunity for the Italian team.
In 2022, Leclerc took pole position for the first-ever Miami Grand Prix, and while the Ferrari car may not be the best over a long race, the Sprint format is much more fast-paced than a marathon. Leclerc may be the best driver in Formula One over a one-lap cycle, so it makes a lot of sense to me to put some dollars on the man that hasn’t finished lower than fourth in any race yet this season.
With Mercedes and McLaren both bringing upgrades to this race, it may take some time for them to get used to their new cars. On a circuit where overtaking is difficult like Miami is, expect Leclerc to get out early and take home a podium finish in the sprint race at plus-money.

Yuki Tsunoda: +2200 Top-6 Finish, +175 Top-10 Finish
Tsunoda has been one of the unsung heroes of the 2024 season so far, ranking 11th in the points race right now despite a car that has sometimes given him some problems. Yuki is a fiery driver, but he definitely has talent, and he’s shown it this season with two top-ten finishes in his last three races, and he didn’t even finish the Chinese GP.
He hasn’t finished in the top 10 in Miami yet in his career, but Yuki does have an 11th and 12th place finish in his two races here, and I like him to sneak into that tenth spot over a driver like Lance Stroll, who has a 10th and 12th place here but who I think Yuki is driving better than this season.
